WE NEED DISRUPTIVE ENTREPRENEURS AND ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSETS THAT CAN ESTABLISH, BUILD & TRANSFORM DIGITAL COMPANIES INTO FLAGSHIPS

Justice William (QFLO-Cofounder), One Lefenya (QFLO- Cofounder), and Mooketsi Bennedict Tekere

1. Innovation, hard work, and creativity make the very foundation of our incredible tech startups. Surprising data & insights from Justice William and his team at QFLO that should make us all super proud!

2. QFLO is que management platform startup. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAO3tRM_77A

3. See, in reality, Botswana’s startup ecosystem has a very nascent relationship with entrepreneurship .. we’ve always been bombarded stories of artisans, traders & businessmen- but now the game has changed; we have PLATFORM ENTREPRENEURS- what we call STARTUPS. What was missing is still with old entrepreneurs is the same challenge faced by platform startups= access to capital and hence entrepreneurship at scale and speed. Innovative Disruptive Entrepreneurs are fixing this problem themselves outside institutional blueprints.

4. I believe that 2020–2030 can be the decade of disruptive tech entrepreneurship for Botswana because we have the foundations in place. 1) We are extremely opportunistic … we became the best in education by now, then we have computer engineers everywhere 65000+, and now CEOs #Microsoft #Google #Twitter #Chanel #IBM trained Batswana exist in our ecosystem and they are young — the future . We are an English literate country which in itself is a huge advantage. We have some of the biggest problems (aka opportunities) in the world and the frugal mindset to shape many technology landscapes. I am convinced that if our entrepreneurial energy is guided in the right direction, we, as a nation, will create unprecedented value. Model companies like QFLO represent these values!

5. I think NGWANA AFRICA can contribute to broadbasing tech entrepreneurship by unlocking closed-door #VC conversations and bringing them into everyone’s living room- for most tech startups in Botswana. By making tech entrepreneurship more glamorous & appealing- we can unlock value and we are doing this through our networks. By giving people the belief — irrespective of background, education or gender — that they too can build a large co. By creating a platform that inspires new startups to look beyond song & dance shows all across the ecosystem- we are confident we have a secret sauce to share with startups- PULASPACE-https://docs.google.com/.../1FAIpQLScTnSIbnkaAGv.../viewform

6. The world’s most powerful VC investors are funding economies where technology allows a ‘ruling class’ to command an ‘underclass’ of servants with the swipe of an app.

Keep building!
